I was the head curator and coordinator for the MA Graphic Communication Design Degree Show (2019) at Central Saint Martins. From the ideation of the concept to the exhibition design and the coordination of individual project installation, I led the curatorial and build teams. Featuring work from 40 designers in a range of mediums and covering several themes, the exhibition welcomed over 5000 visitors over the course of five days.
The exhibition sought to answer the following question: in a field that’s shifting and unfolding, how can we define our positions while being open to change/progression/revision? This exhibition served as a record of each students’s ongoing development within their individual projects and practices. For the displays, we recycled material from previous exhibitions and utilized as many reusable materials as possible to embody the ever-evolving nature of the degree show.
